Find KMS server DNS srv record
Run the following command to determine the currently configured KMS server in your Active Directory DNS zone:
nslookup -type=srv _vlmcs._tcp

redircmp container-dn

Change Active Directory Services Restore Mode Password
Log on to a domain controller with a Domain Administrator.
Run CMD as Administrator
type “ntdsutil”
Type “set dsrm password” and press “Enter”
Type “reset password on server HOSTNAME” The “HOSTNAME” in this context indicates the Servername of the Domain Controller.
Type a new password when prompted.
Confirm the password by retyping it when prompted.
Seize FMSO roles
Open a Command Prompt as an administrator
At the command prompt, type ntdsutil, and then press ENTER.
At the ntdsutil: prompt, type roles, and then press ENTER.
At the fsmo maintenance: prompt, type connections, and then press ENTER.
At the server connections: prompt, type connect to server TARGETSERVERNAME , and then press ENTER.
After you receive confirmation of the connection, type quit, and then press ENTER.
Depending on the role that you want to seize, at the fsmo maintenance: prompt, type the appropriate command, and then press ENTER.

Inter-Site Change Notification
On fast WAN links (>5MBit) it’s recommended to enable inter-site change notification. This feature is enables inter-site replications behave the same way as intra-site replication does (replication < 15min).

Missing subnets in Active Directoy Sites and Services
All subnets have to be assigned to its Site.
Each Domain Controller has a Log file (C:\Windows\debug\netlogon.log) in which clients are listed if their subnet is not assigned to a site.
